At Tahaluf, we have developed advanced AI-powered ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) solutions, integrated into a variety of services to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency across sectors. Our systems utilize state-of-the-art AI vision technology and deep learning architecture to deliver real-time recognition, analysis, and customized responses.
My Role
As an Associate Product Manager & a Product Owner for ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) solutions at Tahaluf, I led the development and deployment of AI-driven ANPR solutions across multiple service platforms, each designed to improve operational efficiency and customer experience. I was mainly responsible for three key solutions:
AI-enabled fueling solutions.
Automated car wash services.
AI-enabled vehicle inspection centers.
For our AI-enabled fueling solution, I was responsible for guiding the product from conception to full implementation. I collaborated with cross-functional teams including AI developers, backend engineers, and hardware specialists to integrate Nvidia-powered servers, ANPR cameras, and digital signage at petrol stations. My role involved:
Overseeing the product discovery phase, where we defined key requirements for AI-driven license plate recognition and integration with existing systems.
Coordinating with business analysts, AI engineers, and backend developers to ensure seamless solution design and implementation, enabling real-time recognition of vehicles and personalized customer messaging on digital screens.
Leading user testing and implementation, ensuring that the system could effectively recognize plates, even under challenging conditions like bright sunlight and varying user scenarios.
This project enhanced the fueling process by providing customers with a contactless and personalized experience, reducing wait times, and improving station efficiency.
I also managed the deployment of the automated car wash solution, which uses the same ANPR technology to streamline the car wash process. My responsibilities included:
Defining the system requirements for integrating ANPR with wash preferences and payment wallets, enabling an entirely automated process from plate recognition to service delivery.
Collaborating with engineers to develop a user-friendly interface and ensuring the system’s accuracy in recognizing vehicles upon arrival, triggering the correct wash cycle.
This solution not only enhanced customer convenience but also optimized throughput at wash stations by eliminating manual steps.
For vehicle inspection centers, my role was focused on improving the efficiency of the vehicle check-in process through ANPR automation. My responsibilities included:
Working closely with inspection officers and backend developers to integrate ANPR cameras with the vehicle inspection system, ensuring quick and accurate plate recognition when vehicles arrive at the center.
Managing the integration of vehicle details with the inspection system, allowing for faster and more accurate tracking of each vehicle's inspection status.
